If you see snow mold, rake the lawn to loosen matted grass and allow the grass to dry out. You may need to overseed the area to encourage grass to fill in. Get rid of leftover deicing salt Also, if you live where winters are cold, grass near sidewalks and driveways may suffer damage from deicing salt. You can apply a thin layer of pelletized or granular gypsum—a naturally occurring mineral used as a soil conditioner—to replace the salt with calcium and sulfur. Water thoroughly. This weeks featured lawn care site is located on Antoinette Lane in Guilford, CT. And don’t forget, for a landscaping or snow removal price quotes, visit our contact page for more information.  We started this lawn care project with some leaf removal, especially from the mulch beds,plants, shrubs, and trees.  Old mulch removal was a “breeze”, with the use of our powerful leaf blowers. The next step is to removal all the weeds that plague humanity into insanity.  With the attention to detail of a brain surgeon, careful consideration was given to the delicate Tulips that we’re trying to make their yearly premiere as an early bloomer. Mulch beds were cleaned and edged with a garden spade. Bed edging makes a beautiful contrast between grass and garden beds. Giving your shrubs a well organized sanctuary for showing off their hard earned blooms.   The Spring Clean job isn’t complete without the first mow.
