TYPES OF LAWN SEEDING SERVICES
Mechanical slice seeding uses a gas-powered machine to cut slits into the soil and drops seed into the grooves. The soil then collapses around the seed and creates the most effective sowing method for seeding operations. This method is most popular during Spring because of its tolerance for low temperatures.
Aeration & Overseeding
This method is the most popular late Summer to early Fall because of the warmer temperatures that foster surface germination. This method uses a core aerator to “push” grass seed into the ground after it is dropped out of a broadcast spreader device. Seed can also germinate well on the loose cores.
Soil & Seeding
If you have low spots that need grading or rocky soil, this method may be best for your lawn. This method “top-dresses” your current lawn with fresh, screened soil and compost to create a perfect growing environment for new seed. Usually, this method is completed using a starter fertilizer, and hay mulch for germination.
